Locust: The Opera is an environmental murder mystery set in Wyoming. Composed by Anne M. Guzzo with a libretto by Jeffrey Lockwood, the opera received its premiere on September 28, 2018 at The National Museum of Wildlife Art in Jackson, and has since been performed in Morocco, Laramie, Wyoming, and Salt Lake City, UT.
Up next for the swarm of locusts is the IUCN World Conservation Congress in Marseille, France. Originally scheduled for June 2020 but postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the creative team is excited to bring this timely piece to France in September 2021.
