THE TOXOPLASMA STORY

ABOUT TOXOPLASMA

Toxoplasma Arts started in 2016 as a small business promoting Denver vocalist Cristin Colvin as she performed as a jazz and opera singer in the metro area.

The business expanded in 2017 when she began to design logos for local musicians while she was working as a marketing specialist and website administrator in higher education.

In 2019, she left higher education and went freelance, designing websites and design collateral for small businesses and entrepreneurs. While designing these projects, Cristin continued to expand her musical career by performing in and stage directing diverse productions from the American West to Morocco to Scotland.

Today, Toxoplasma manages the websites for Birdy Magazine and Sexy Pizza, continues to support Cristin’s classical music career, and also acts as web administrator, marketer, and publisher for the Toxoplasma Records roster.

ABOUT CRISTIN

A native of Johnson City, TN, Cristin has lived and worked all over the United States. She graduated from Emory & Henry College with a Bachelor of Arts in Piano and Vocal Performance and a minor in Creative Writing and received her Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance and Literature from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where she was a graduate teaching assistant. She also has training in HTML, CSS, and orchestration and arranging.

Even though her musical experiences have taken her all over the world, she currently lives in Tennessee and continues to collaborate with musicians across the country.

During her time in Colorado, she took on positions in marketing and web administration at the University of Denver, which led to the expansion of Toxoplasma and its support of websites, design, classical music, and the Toxoplasma Records roster.
